Yoshitoshi was an artist of the Utagawa school. Active in the late 19th century. Regarded as one of the last great Ukiyo-e artists, Yoshitoshi's work, especially his more violent images like the “Picture of the Lonely House on Adachi Moor in Oshū”, have influenced artists such as Seiu Ito.

1839: Yoshitoshi is born on April 17th.

1850: Introduced to the Ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi.
